Mobile Paper Shredding Service by IPSA
Mobile Shredding
Mobile paper shredding is one of the most common shredding services requested because all paper shredding is performed at the customer location with a mobile shredding truck.
Mobile shredding allows customers to witness first-hand the shredding of all documents. Mobile shredding trucks offer onboard cameras so that witnesses can view their paper entering the shredding equipment, being shredded, and the reminents of the shredded paper. IPSA recycles shredded paper.
IPSA offers mobile shredding service in most areas of the United States as well as Canada. Please contact us for an instant quote or service information.
Mobile Shredding vs. Offsite Shredding: IPSA
While mobile shredding is a very popular shredding service due to the added peace of mind of being able to witness your own paper shredding, IPSA also provides offsite shredding which has its own advantages. But if onsite shredding is more secure, shouldn't I want all my documents to be destroyed onsite?
IPSA answers this question as both yes and no. If you are having your paper shredded by a non-IPSA agent or non-NAID AAA certified agent, the answer is yes, absolutely require your vendor to shred your paper in front of you with a mobile shredding truck. Even though we are talking about our competition, we could never condone using a non-NAID AAA shredding vendor even if we weren't in the industry. We've heard most of the horror stories and it's never a good idea to use a shredding comany who's responsible for policing themselves, even if the shredding is accomplished by mobile shredding. If your vendor not a NAID AAA certified or IPSA agent, the first question you should ask is "Why?" Too often it's because they are unable to obtain the shredding certification.
IPSA answers the onsite shredding question with "no" under certain circumstances which considers cost, efficiency, volume, location, and who the shredding vendor is. If your shredding company is an IPSA shredding agent or a NAID AAA certifed company, you should consider that shredding company safe, policed, and regularly audited by third parties on their shredding security procedures. If your organization produces high volumes of paper for shredding or has many locations, offsite shredding can be considerably cheaper because IPSA offsite shredding equipment shreds paper much, much faster and thoroughly than any mobile shredding truck. Considerations on locations for offsite paper shredding service are two-fold: first, geographic location and second, facility policies. Some areas of the United States have no vendors who offer mobile shredding. And if you are in a remote area, the transportation costs for mobile shredding can greatly exceed those need for offsite transportation trucks because mobile shredding trucks lose business while they are driving (They can't shred paper and be driven at the same time). And offsite shredding is always far, far better than no shredding at all. Additionally, many facilities/high rises in urban areas don't allow mobile shredding trucks to stay on the property long enough to complete the shredding process.
So if you use IPSA, you should consider your information just as protected if you choose offsite shredding due to their stingent security practices and NAID AAA certification. IPSA offsite shredding surpasses all known legal requirements governing businesses and organizations and is almost always a more economical paper shredding method.
